LaCima was founded in October 2024 out of the FINESI Junior Researchers programme and brings together professors and students of the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano around computing applied to the real problems of the Peruvian Altiplano.
To develop high quality scientific and technological research in computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence, training researchers with practical skills and critical thinking, contributing to the development of the Puno region and to the advancement of national scientific knowledge.
To be, by 2030, a research group recognized nationally and internationally for its contributions in applied computing, natural language processing and causal inference, becoming a reference at the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano and in the Peruvian scientific community.
LaCima is born within the FINESI Junior Researchers programme, with five founding members and three research lines.
First international Scopus-indexed publication (IJACSA) and third place in the scientific poster contest of the UNAP Vice-Rectorate for Research.
Two more articles accepted in indexed journals (Springer, Informatica), a fourth research line and the formal recognition process before the Faculty Council.
