A laboratory born in room 204
LaCima was founded in October 2024 within the FINESI Junior Researchers programme. Two years later it has papers in Springer, Elsevier, IJACSA and Informatica, four RENACYT researchers and the approval of the Faculty Council.
Mission
To carry out high-quality scientific and technological research in computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence, training researchers with practical skills and critical thinking, and contributing to the development of the Puno region and of Peru.
Vision
By 2030, to be a nationally and internationally recognised research group for its contributions to applied computing, natural language processing and causal inference, and a reference within the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano.

IJACSA paper on frost prediction and third place in the UNAP Research Vice-Rectorate poster competition.
